Jesus' motivation

So, what motivates you? People-pleasers are inspired by praise. “Type A” personalities love to create projects and relish in seeing each task accomplished along the way. Some impoverished people are simply seeking their next meal-motivated by the need to survive.felten-191

Speaking of food, when the disciples encouraged Jesus to eat after a morning of travel, He said, “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent Me, and from finishing His work” (John 4:34).

Read that verse again. Slow down, take a deep breath, and feast on each word. You and I are not defined by human praise or personal accomplishment. Our motivation shouldn’t spring from either of those impostors. What should motivate us is doing God’s will and finishing His work. What motivates you? How do Jesus’ words affect your view of true motivation in life?

What is God’s will for me? What is God’s

work? I really don’t know, People around

me keep telling me who am I, what I

should do? But I don’t want to be one of

them. I don’t want living that kind of

life. But there is only one thing I am pretty

    sure.

God never give up telling me who am I?

And I also believe that I will find the way,

    which God makes for me.

    Motivation- Money, Position, Affluence etc…

As believers we need to learn that the praise of men do not last. ( I really need to )

when we come to such an understanding it makes us to seek for the permanent and eternal which is doing the will of God – Our Father and finishing His work
