today's conversation
The former president of South Korea committed suicide last week amid allegations of improper financial dealings. What words would you use to lift the spirits of someone who wanted to take his or her own life? What verses from the Bible could encourage them?

What’s a prayer or verse that you begin your day with each morning? Why is it important for you to begin your day this way?

Deuteronomy 31:6
Psalm 9:10
Hebrews 13:5
I always find comfort in the fact that our God will never leave us and never forsake us! No matter how terrible the situation seems. And I have lived through circumstances that seemed hopeless. But God’s word is true. He will never leave us nor forsake us. We must keep seeking Him and waiting on Him. He is with us always.
Suicide is a very serious condition. I would get them help immediately. Only God can work through the pain that this person is feeling. Words sometimes can be like tell a person who is drowning to swim harder. I would call my Pastor and let the person know that they are valued and that God loves them but they need help. I would also go with them to get this help.
