I stumbled onto your website by way of the article titled "Tight Jeans" by someone with the initials "JAL". I immediately connected with the theme of the article.

My response to the author is presented below for your thoughtful consideration and critique.

Title: Limits and Boundaries, Do Tight-Fitting Jeans Have a Spiritual Message?

I didn't wear tight-fitting jeans until the sophomore year (Grade 10) of high school. Growing up in a religious household my sister and I had been indoctrinated with the belief that only "bad girls" wear tight-fitting jeans. My devotely Baptist mother died the summer my sophmore year began. During the autumn I started pushing the limits with what I could get away with both at home, at school and at play.

"After more than 2 months of indulging myself on all kinds of holiday goodies, the last thing I wanted to do was squeeze myself into a tight pair of jeans. But that may be just the thing I needed to do if I'm serious about losing the weight I gained from eating Halloween candy, Thanksgiving pies, and Christmas cookies." -- exerpt from article

Like the writer I too enjoy wearing tight-fitting jeans as a means of reminding myself there are limits and boundaries whether real or imaginary in my life. I think my wearing of tight-fitting jeans indirectly makes those who see me consider the impact external forces potentially have on their life. I am not so naive as to think they look to me for any type of spiritual guidance, knowing most people
merely see the physical not the spiritual message the tight-fitting jeans accentuate.

"It's a stretch to say that tight jeans can solve a spiritual problem, but they can serve as a good reminder that "tight-fitting" rules are actually for our good." -- exerpt from article

The writer makes an excellent point. I have worn tight-fitting jeans since my high school days in the 1980's when tight-fitting jeans were the norm amongst most of my girlfriends. To this day I wear
tight-fitting jeans and refuse to wear "relaxed" or "baggy" jeans. At 30+ years of age I feel as young as my high school days and I can thank my tight-fitting jeans for this cheerful and positive outlook on life.

If you'd like to follow-up this letter with further questions or comments I'd gladly respond.

Worship is a lifestyle...

We revere HIM for Who HE is...because HE deserves it.

As a worship leader in the Philippines, I usually remind the other members in our team that worship is not limited to just singing, clapping of hands or playing instruments...for whatever we do for HIS glory...it's " worship".

The important thing is that we know Whom We Worship. It's not about us....It's all about JESUS!

(Continuation)

Now, being older I've learned that worship is not just singing praises but it involves all aspects of how we deal with our family members, colleagues, friends and even strangers. By doing what is right at all times - that's already worship to God.

God delights in seeing His faithful children!

Worship to me is something that God wants and requires of us as He loves our praises. As a teenager, I was involved in the church choir and we(my friends and me) used to rehearse and rehearse whenever Easter or Christmas were approaching. We are always delighted to hear how people were brought to the Lord after our performance and the thought that the expansion of our Lord's kingdom is at hand makes us feel that all the hard work as paid off to redeem the lost.

To me worshipping is showing respect to GOD and reading GOD's word and following GOD's teaching. In this way, it lead me on the path closer to GOD and doing things that please him. At the same time, I know that he loves me and forgive all the mistakes and sin that I committed along the way. He has sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins tearing down the bearer that keeps me from going back to GOD. I worship GOD because he loves us and protect us from the the evil one. I spend quiet time with GOD by read his words everyday.
