Thank you for your post, which is a reminder to me – ‘If we believe that, we will confidently expend our lives for Jesus even when things seem bleak.’ I have had several heartaches last year, trying to help someone, who has been taking advantage of my kindness. This person is still not keen on anything to do with God, but comes to me for financial and or other needs. I am often tempted to give up on this person.

Thank you for reminding me of how prophet Jeremiah was faithful to God even when he was disheartened. It was a great test of faith to invest in a property when armies of Babylon were besieging the city of Jerusalem. He didn’t live to see the promise of God which was fulfilled many years later. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

“Lord Jesus, thank you for your promise in Rev 11:15. Increase my faith. Grant me your grace and patience to continue to invest in your work, even when evil appears to be gaining.” jjw2855 :)
