bretc, it sounds like you are truly repentant before God. The kind of sorrow you've experience reminds of what the Apostle Paul once wrote: "For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death" (2 Corinthians 7:10). Bow before God, confess your sin, and then realize that you have been purified by Jesus' blood (1 John 1:9). I'll be praying with you for the salvation of your wife. Your devotion to Jesus, as you live it out, will have a profound effect on her. Press on in God's strength, He will make you strong and courageous! (Joshua 1:9).

I have a deep sense of guilt for not returning to church and bible class after my marriage. I’m a coward for not facing up to the stress and pressure of being surrounded by non-believers in my own family and in-law family. I’m a selfish person who only cares about my own feelings and not willing to build up the courage to return to God. I still do pray to God during my quiet times but I worry He has long forsaken me. But I’ll still continue to pray in the hope that my wife will be willing to go to church together with me one day.

I know this is more than a month old but I relaly needed to hear this. I have been having trouble transitioning from my old life to my new life. My old life was filled with many activities and school and I enjoyed having so much to do. Now I have graduated from school and I am married with no kids. I am currently searching for a job but in the mean time I am not very content with being at home. Thank you for this message it is something that I really needed to hear and it has had a huge impact on me

Thank you for this. I am pursuing my Masters and a lot of times, I can't participate in church activities during the week and a lot of times, I feel guilty. So, I thank you for this.

"We walk by faith when we trust God to work in and through our lives—in all we do."

Why is it so hard to Trust? I let myself get overwhelmed with worry and feel like this message was the (gentle) smack on my cheek to get my perspective back. Thank you, Lord! :)

Yes! Somtimes it is hard to know - what to do or when to do it. Walking in faith, trusting and obeying God is the best we can do in such circumstances. Hebrews 11:1 quotes, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." jjw2855 :)

Guilt is God's invitation to humble yourself, confess your sin, and be cleansed (Rom 2:4). Praise the Lord for kind His invitation! Make the wisest decision, accept.

Thank you for this message! God used it to remind me that He does not measure me according to everything I do for Him. He's more interested in my relationship with Him. I look forward to the day when I have more time to serve Him in different ways...for now I have to stay on track with my current ministry and continue to nurture and serve my family members. :)

I'm the same. I find it hard to say 'no'. Our family are in their 20's now but still come home in the holidays so my time is split between quiet times and having a house full. You never stop being a mother or a wife for that matter. Its asking the Lord to help you with priorities and not being too 'works' based in your service. You need a God given balance in life.
