Straight from the heart. Beautifully said.
Thank you so much 2 whoever posted this, it helped bring a lot of comfort 2 my life just now
anj1990, I’m so glad the post provided some comfort. It sounds like you’re dealing with some pain. Please know that you are in my prayers today!
Thank you so much. I really needed to hear this right now… that no matter how painful things get, God loves us and is with us and is all the more worthy of our praise. What an amazing, beautiful God we have! And how blessed I am to be his!
God is amazing! It’s comforting to know that He can use hard times for our good (Romans 8:28(.
Amazed at the power of just focusing on God’s love and what it will do in the midst of pain.
Greatly enjoy your video posts.

You’re right. Our focus is so vital. It needs to be all about Him!
A recent hospital stay may not have offered 100% physical improvement, but I did experience something better because God put a wonderful Christian nurse in my path who helped me remember His love, strength and compassion.
Spiritual healing in the midst of our physical pain, worry (and sometimes self-pity) can remedy our perspective so we look to the Lord to meet our needs – instead of trying to take care of everything ourselves.
Your post was a blessing, thank you.
~Debi
(Glad you are out of the hospital and feeling better!)
Debi, thanks so much fo sharing your story. I also had some wonderful nurses who took great care of me and demonstrated the compassion of Jesus during my hospital stay. I hope you’re doing better physically, but I’m inspired by what God has taught you spiritually through your journey into pain.
Thanks Tom, it’s a truly touching video.
When I’m going through hardships, I think of Jesus. I think of how He emptied Himself for me. When I go through physical pain, I think of Him and realize that my little bit of pain cannot surpass of the amount of excruciating pain that He had to deal with on the cross. When I lack material wealth, I think of how the Son of God became just a carpenter to grant me all favor and blessings.
In all circumstances, I look to the only One who understands, and who can make things all better. When I feel like my world is unstable, I hold on to my solid Rock. Thank you, Jesus.
Thanks Tom! Always you touched my entire life. God bless you.
Hi Tom.
This is the first time i sing up to this web page and i saw a couple of your videos, and thanks for having your ears so close to God’s heart.
It was really great to know that im not the only one that struggles with very painful life situations, but theres a lot of people going through hard times too, and having God as our only hope. Thanks God… im not alone.
This was like God reminding me to hold on on him. And that he is in control.
Thanks again. Hope to see more of your videos.
nattysantana, yes, you are definitely not alone. Living in a fallen world, we will all experience pain. But praise God that He provides the comfort we need (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). May He comfort you today!
Hi Tom,
I thank God that He has again made you a blessing to many. Despite my husband’s ongoing adultery, you know what — God has led me out of the shadow of my pain and suffering and into His wondrous light. Now I know what is God’s peace that surpasses all understanding. I would like to share that in order to experience this peace, we have to, like you say, make a deliberate decision to focus on God and most of all, to obey His Word no matter how difficult it may be. On my own, no way; but by His grace, He has shown me that it is possible to keep on loving and forgiving. This peace comes when we fully depend on Him.
P.S. Don’t think I need a counsellor anymore. Thanks anyway.
graceofGod, thanks for inspiring me and other ODJ community members. You and your husband are in my prayers. I’m so glad God has given you His peace and hope. In the words of the Apostle Paul, “My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
Hi Tom,
I have been praying for you too, that the Lord will keep you in good health
Thank you for your prayers for me and my husband. Please pray especially for my husband because I see no remorse and I am horrified by the extent that he has been blinded by sin. When I try to point out his sin, his excuse is “Well, if I am happy, why not?”
So, he thinks that there are no consequences, and said even if he dies, at least he dies happily doing something he likes. Truly, I am worried for his salvation.
Tom, just took a look at this. Thanks for sharing.
I am enrolled for RN school starting this fall at the ripe age of 37! I have a servants’ heart and am a very compassionate person, and it is my goal to touch every heart I come into contact with as if Jesus’ hand was touching them Himself. I not only want to be an excellent nurse providing excellent care, but for my compassion and love for people to spill out. I want Jesus to look at me and say, “good work is being done here”. Through Him I will endeavor to be that person each and every day.
beth, this is great! I’m so glad you’re seeking to serve God by using your apparent spiritual gift of compassion. Over the years, I have been deeply blessed by doctors and nurses who have not only cared for me, but also showed me a real and beautiful faith in Jesus. Press on!
hi tom, im mimi and after watching ur video my heart melts and i just wanted to cry. my health is not as good as i want to be. but i know God has a purpose. And i want to worship more God and question Him not regarding my situation. I thanked God because i know that my life here is just a “passing by” journey. And I am praying to live more holy and stronger until this “passing by” ends. Thanks for your testimony. It comforts me alot. God bless.
