When natural disasters have happened, people around the world help out through donations and volunteering..
That’s been an encouragement to me, too, cali4ange! Not so long ago, odj’s own Poh Fang ministered in Japan to those affected by the tsunami and subsequent challenges. You can read about it here.
I’ve noticed that teens and youth are increasingly coming to Christ, increasingly becoming more concerned with others (rather than just themselves) and that they seem to be more passionate about God’s word more than I ever remember my age group being! I am so encouraged every time I see someone younger step up to spend time in God’s word, or fellowship, or missions or just local volunteering. The love, mercy and compassion stirs me with amazing joy and hope.
roseofGod, I’ve seen this happening as well. Many of the young people and young adults I know are also showing a true servant’s heart. Their love for Jesus is prompting them to serve other locally and in missions trips around the world. They are also digging into God’s Word, comparing what it says with some of the messages they’re receiving.
I just heard through klove radio of an Iranian christian pastor being sentenced to death because he changes his faith from Islam to Christianity. His sentence may happen at any time. Please keep him and his family in his prayers. This puts a reminder of how our faith is being tested and what the apostles went through in their time, and it is still present to stand up in faith and believe in God. Here is the article;

It seems that in spite of all the bad things going in the world, there are still people who want to care about other people.
Despite what had happened during last year’s riots in certain cities down in England, it was really encouraging to know that many people, especially young adults who came together to clean up their streets. There is hope in this world because our Creator God definitely made us loving and caring for others. May we continue to pray for our young people, if they are children of God to strengthen their faith and those who are not to open the way for them to know Jesus. Our prayers to those who are persecuted in other parts of the world.
One of the most encouraging aspects that we see in life today is the literally unlimited potential & freedom to share God’s Word & words of encouragement and instruction by using such tools as Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and the list goes on. While many choose to use these for social trivia, the door is wide open for us to share Truth as well… its our choice to take advantage of such tools!
