Proverbs 31:10 A wife of noble character who can find? My husband told me that it was hard for him to find a wife of noble character until he found me. I work hard for my and try to keep them safe from temptation from the devil. I am a woman who fears Lord. I keep him in my heart everyday and ask for guidance when I need it most and waits for his answer to come to me when I need it most. The Lord works with me and throught me. For without the Lord I would be a lost lamb, going to slaughter for the wolf.
Great verse, lisakay39. It’s interesting that you identify Proverbs 1:7 in your comments, that you are a “woman who fears the Lord.” A reverential fear of God truly allows us to love Him and others well—including our spouses.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your pathsf straight.
being a youth, I heavily rely on God’s wisdom and I must trust him always (with all my heart) to face everyday’s challenges. Only in His path we will find a life with love.
lizet, these are my “life verses” and also my wife and my “marriage verses”! I’m so glad you’re pursuing God’s wisdom and His path. I can tell you that real life life and hope is found there!
I also most am affected by Proverbs 3:5-8:
5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
7 Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil.
8 It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones 9Amplified Bible].
This section of Scripture tells me that the Lord will guide me and preserve me in a whole and healthy manner if I will but place Him and His ways first and foremost in my life and not consider myself to be above Him in any way. There was certainly a time when I thought that God could not possibly be who He said He was, but I realized that it was simply me being upset with not getting my own way! It was my own sin that led me into misery and pain, not the Lord! His ways always lead to goodness and wholeness of life!
Amen, bapearl. Love that phrase found in v.8: “Be not wise in your own eyes.” Whenever I find myself struggling, it’s always apparent that I’ve taken my eyes off Jesus and am striving to live by my own fickle desires and limited human insight. Praise God that He has provided wisdom to us through His Word, the Holy Spirit, and mature believers in Jesus!
A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverb 15:1
It has given me the best I want- moral, spiritual, educational, etc. A new life appears with words, either ve or -ve but ve for me. The Lord is that Word John1:1
Proverbs 30:7-9
I don’t want a whole lot as I’ve forsaken the Lord in the past and just enough as I don’t to be known as a thief.
Proverbs 20:13
Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes, and you shall be satisfied with bread.
In hungarian the translation is a bit different, it says: Love not dreams..(instead of sleep).
So for me today the meaning is: Do not live in the future or in the past, do not chase dreams, be satisfied with the present. Cause you can only be used by God and God can only satisfy your spiritual and physical needs if you are right here awake in the present!

Real friends…
Pro 27:6 ESV Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
However, as for me, if an enemy (whom I am to love) speaks the truth to me if he sees me erring, I will not argue the truth …I will repect the truth of the matter.
