Sadly, not much is happening with that group in our local church right now. In our area, the larger churches have thriving programs. So many young adults attend their home church for most services and then go to the large or mega-church groups for fellowship with people their own age.
If you’re a young a single young adult, what are some things churches can do to better minister to you and your friends?
I attend a church in Clermont Fl, which has an excellent program for teens. Working with the community in all areas.
Funnily enough I have been thinking of this lately and was thinking about speaking to my pastor about this. My church does not have a young single’s group and have never had one. I guess it’s because it’s quite a such a small group of people.
I guess I would appreciate some speakers as well as workshops being organised primarily for young singles. Also away days.
The focus at church is primarily on Youths but there are those who are still young and have outgrown this ministrty who’re kinda left out.
There are programs organised by other churches which I attend but not everyone does go.
Anyway I am looking forward to reading the comments from others.
my church is small, its the first christian church I attended when i finally came to CHRIST, I don’t know if I belong ,You see I’,m not young in my teens,I’m older divorced and single and sadly I feel like the outcast at times,I mean everyone is loving and nice, but married with children even, and GOD Bless them always, I just wish their was a place where I could fellowship with no pressure just single men & women expressing how they walk with CHRIST as singles, and who knows maybe something more or not but at least I won’t be reminded of all I lost before comming to CHRIST
My local church in the Philippines have been exposing youth and young pros to several Youth Congresses. We also are into Campus Ministries, and thankfully we are getting an overwhelming response from these young people. I believe training young people to go outside and minister and mentor to somebody else help a lot.
As for the Young Professionals, we keep ourselves engaged with monthly gathering activities and medical mission in some remote areas (last time was in Isla Verde, in one of our provinces). Praise God that He enables to be more IN ACTION now.
ALL GLORY TO HIM!
