our homes . . .
It matters not whether we live in ramshackle huts,
or in luxurious bungalows,
as long as God’s love freely springs from within our hearts,
and we grow wherever it flows.
It matters not whether we live in the hills or mountains,
or along the coasts or river banks,
as long as we live in righteousness until Christ returns,
and always give God glory and thanks.
Whether we live in concrete buildings or wooden structures,
our impartial God still loves and cares for each of us,
whether we live in purchased or rented properties,
we must never forsake our responsibilities.
Whether we live by ourselves or stay with people,
to God and each other, we must be accountable;
whether our homes sparkle in yellow or purple,
we need to remain humble and be approachable.
Whether our homes are listed as freehold or leasehold,
in all situations, God is always in control;
whether our homes are brand new or a hundred years old,
walking right with God is better than any stroll.
Whether our homes are fully air-conditioned or not at all,
let us glorify God as the Lord of our homes and of all;
whether our homes have many rooms or only single rooms,
the church, as God’s bride, waits patiently for the Groom of grooms.
Whether the resale values of our homes are high or low,
in grace and mercy, God is rich; in anger, He is slow;
it matters not what our homes have or are not
as long as we use them to serve the true God
